Sharing a bit of me with the world

,

Ofrima Roundabout

After teaching Basic students I was so tired & exhausted I decided to rest awhile at SCM secretariat (Abuja campus) before going to my house in Choba. My plans were to have a good bath and jump on my bed till when the reticular activating system in my brain generated enough neurotransmitters to reawaken me (d medical folks understand).

With my tired & heavy legs I walked towards Abuja park only to find two busses loading. One shouting “Choba… Choba… Enter with your N50 change o”. And the other shouting “Delta… Delta…”

When I got to the Park, I was sure I heard God say to me “Enter Choba vehicle”… But I reasoned it out and said to myself “No way, Delta busses get filled faster than Choba, when I get to Delta Park, I can easily trek to Choba junction and find my square root home”

Following that line of thought I disregarded the voice I heard within me and thought it was just my tired mind playing with me, so I went on & entered the bus loading “Delta… Delta”.

Of course as popularly known, the Delta bus filled faster than the Choba vehicle… Once filled, traditionally with Uniport drivers collection of money began. After collecting money from all passengers on board, we started moving…

Our movement for Delta park was initially smooth until we got to Ofrima roundabout where the bus stopped abruptly… Everyone shouting at d driver, & driver shouting at d vehicle, nothing seems to be working… Five minutes later we were still there trying to get the bus to start when I saw the Choba vehicle coming from behind full with passengers & headed for Choba..

As the Choba vehicle drove pass us at Ofrima roundabout, words can’t explain how I felt on my inside…

Then that same voice spoke to me again… ” I see & know the future dat u’re blind to. If only u had listened to Me and patiently waited for the Choba vehicle & hadn’t used ur senses and reasonings to select the Delta bus u finally entered. You already paid the fare for the journey, should this have been marriage, you’ll be forever stock in this bus & bear up with anything it brings.”

After much trials to get the vehicle moving, we finally found mercy 15 minutes later.. Journey continued again with d driver now driving at a reduced speed to prevent the vehicle from breaking down again & with all our heart pleading silently dat d vehicle shouldn’t have any issues again abeg…

In that long journey to Delta park, all that kept ringing in my head was “#WHAT_IF_THIS_WAS_MARRIAGE?”
